Advanced Kayaking Adventure – 6 Hours in Kitulgala

Experience the thrill of Advanced Kayaking with CCT Sri Lanka in the beautiful Kitulgala region. This 6-hour adventure consists of two exciting sections of the Kelani River, each offering unique challenges and rewards.

Begin your journey with the upper river, a 7 km stretch filled with Class IV rapids. Here, you’ll face 6 intense rapids that will test your skills and push your limits. This section can take up to 4 hours.

Next, continue to the lower river, which features another 7 km of Class II and Class III rapids. It’s a more relaxed but still thrilling stretch, taking around 2 hours to complete.

Each rapid requires different technical skills. Therefore, participants must be confident in performing a roll and executing a wet exit before tackling the upper section.

After conquering the rapids, unwind by surfing a few waves and floating downstream. The gentle current will soothe you, allowing you to enjoy the stunning scenery of Kitulgala.
