Enjoy one of Sri Lanka’s most unique safari experiences as you travel from Kalpitiya to Wilpattu National Park by boat, Tuk Tuk, and 4×4 safari jeep. Rather than taking the conventional road route, cross the peaceful Puttalam Lagoon by boat to Gangewadiya before continuing by Tuk Tuk to the park entrance. From there, your private safari jeep takes you into the wilderness for an exciting half-day wildlife adventure.
Wilpattu, meaning “Land of Lakes,” is Sri Lanka’s largest national park and is famous for its beautiful villus—natural sand-rimmed lakes scattered throughout dense forest. Despite being one of the country’s premier wildlife reserves, it remains less crowded than many other national parks, allowing you to enjoy a quieter and more authentic safari experience. Keep your camera ready for possible sightings of Sri Lankan leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, crocodiles, buffalo, and an impressive variety of birdlife.
With CCT Sri Lanka, every part of your journey is carefully arranged. Your boat transfer, Tuk Tuk ride, Wilpattu National Park entrance tickets, private safari jeep, and experienced safari driver are all included, allowing you to relax and enjoy an unforgettable combination of lagoon scenery, village life, and Sri Lanka’s remarkable wildlife.
