Day 1: Negombo

A Smooth Transfer to Your Resort

Upon your arrival at the airport, our team will be waiting to greet you and provide a safe and comfortable transfer to your resort. The journey to the resort will take approximately 20 minutes, allowing you to relax and prepare for your upcoming vacation.

Day 2 - 3: Anuradhpura

Discover Ancient Ruins and Wildlife Wonders

After a leisurely breakfast, we'll embark on a scenic drive to Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, we'll embark on a guided tour of the ancient city, exploring its magnificent ruins, including temples, dagobas, and palaces. Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Sri Lanka.

On the following day, venture into the vast wilderness of Wilpattu National Park, the largest national park in Sri Lanka. Keep your eyes peeled for elusive leopards, elephants, and sloth bears as you explore the park's diverse ecosystems.

Day 4, 5 & 6: Pasikuda

Discover Ancient Ruins and Coastal Paradise

After a leisurely breakfast, embark on a scenic journey to Pasikuda via a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Polonnaruwa. Explore the ancient city's magnificent ruins, including temples, dagobas, and palaces. Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Sri Lanka.

Continue your journey to Pasikuda, a picturesque coastal town. Your next three days are arranged here. Enjoy snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of Pasikuda Bay, surrounded by vibrant marine life. A sunset cruise has also been planned for you to enjoy within the next two days. As the day concludes, relax and unwind on the pristine beaches of Pasikuda, enjoying the stunning sunset.

Day 7 & 8: Nuwara Eliya

A Journey from Coast to Mountains: Pasikuda to Nuwara Eliya

After your third night in Pasikuda, we’ll set off for Nuwara Eliya. Following breakfast, prepare for a scenic drive of approximately 6 hours, taking you from the coastal beauty of Pasikuda to the lush, mountainous landscapes of Nuwara Eliya. This journey will offer a change of scenery as you transition from the tranquil beaches to the cool, high-altitude environment of Sri Lanka's tea country. Enjoy the picturesque drive through verdant hills and tea plantations as you head towards your next destination.

In Nuwara Eliya, you'll have a mix of urban exploration and natural adventures. Here’s how you can enjoy your time:

• City Walk: Start with a leisurely walk around Nuwara Eliya. This charming city, often called "Little England," is known for its colonial architecture, lush gardens, and cool climate. Explore landmarks such as the old post office, Victoria Park, and the local market.
• Off-Road Drive to Horton Plains National Park: Embark on an off-road drive to Horton Plains National Park. This high-altitude park is famous for its scenic treks and unique biodiversity. The main attraction is the World’s End viewpoint, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the valley below. The park also offers a chance to see a variety of wildlife, including sambar deer and leopards.

Day 9: Kandy

After breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive to Kandy, which will take approximately 3 hours. Here’s how your day will unfold:

• Tea Factory Visit: En route to Kandy, stop at a tea factory to explore the fascinating process of tea production. Learn about the history of Sri Lankan tea, observe the various stages of tea processing, and perhaps sample some fresh tea. The lush tea plantations provide a beautiful backdrop for this visit.
• Arrival in Kandy: Upon reaching Kandy, check into your accommodation and refresh before heading out to explore the city.
• Visit to Kandy Temple: Your first major stop in Kandy will be the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa). This sacred Buddhist temple houses a relic believed to be a tooth of the Buddha. Explore the temple complex, admire the intricate architecture, and take in the spiritual ambiance.

After a leisurely breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Colombo, the bustling capital of Sri Lanka. Along the way, visit the renowned Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat and learn about conservation efforts.

Upon arrival in Colombo, check into your centrally located resort and relax after a day of exploration.

Based on your preferences, a 7-day Ayurveda treatment plan has been arranged to fit around your busy schedule in the city. At Anarva Retreat, you’ll have access to a range of Ayurvedic therapies tailored to your needs, offering a chance to rejuvenate and relax.

Additionally, there are numerous short excursions we could arrange from the retreat. These excursions can provide a variety of experiences, such as exploring local landmarks, cruises from Port City, engaging in nature walks, or visiting nearby attractions.
