You will spend some time reflecting about the colonial mastermind behind the Church building, right outside one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrim site in entire world, but its beauty. Then you are walking alone the Raja Vidiya to Yatinuwara Vidiya. Walk into the bustling vegetable market and come out to see the so-called public bus station of Kandy. Walk towards the Old Prison after that. Listen keenly to the political saga of 1818 where a family of national hero, Ehelepola Nilame, was slaughtered inside the prison and named the his companions traitors of the nation. Your walk ends after visiting Asgiriya Temple and its free museum. You may stop for a refreshment during the walk too.

You ideally want to walk very light. Best at early mornings and late evenings to avoid sunny midday.
