Day 1: Mannar to Eluwankulama
Welcome aboard at 9 AM in Talaimannar! Begin your 11-day adventure with a comprehensive briefing on the itinerary and activities ahead.
Enjoy a delicious snack with a hot cuppa or coffee as you set sail towards Adam's Bridge, a natural wonder connecting India and Sri Lanka.
Discover the historical significance of Mannar, a region renowned for its pearls since the 7th century BC. In the 7th century BC, Achaemenid emperors were drawn to Mannar for its renowned pearls. The significance of Mannar’s pearls continued through the ages, with notable visitors including Fa Hsien in 410 AD, Marco Polo in 1254 AD, and Ibn Battuta in 1344 AD, all of whom documented the region’s pearl industry. Even Hugh Cleghorn, a Scottish-born British politician and colonial secretary to Ceylon in 1798, found the pearl trade more lucrative than his imperial duties—perhaps a testament to the enduring allure of Mannar's pearls.

Return to your cabin around 12 noon for a well-deserved lunch and some relaxation.

Day 3: Karukupane

After breakfast, we set sail towards Matara, passing through Galle and Mirissa. Mirissa is renowned for guaranteed whale sightings, including Pygmy Blues, Blues, and Sperm whales. Snorkeling with whales can be arranged with permission from the Department of Wildlife for an additional cost.
If deep-sea fishing is your passion, ideal fishing spots along the way will be available, with a professional angler on board to assist you.

Day 8: Matara
