Discover one of Sri Lanka’s most rewarding highland trekking adventures with a guided climb to the summit of Ella Rock, combined with a visit to the legendary Ravana Cave. This experience blends scenic mountain views, cultural mythology, and light adventure trekking in the heart of Ella’s breathtaking landscape.
The trek to Ella Rock summit covers approximately 2–2.5 km and takes around 1 hour, passing through railway tracks, forest trails, and tea estate paths. As you climb higher, you are rewarded with sweeping panoramic views of Ella Gap, rolling hills, and lush green tea plantations, offering one of the most iconic viewpoints in Sri Lanka.
After reaching the summit, continue your journey to Ravana Cave, located about 3 km south of Ella. This ancient cave is deeply connected to Ramayana legends, believed to have been used by King Ravana. Inside, you’ll find dramatic rock formations and a mysterious atmosphere that adds cultural depth to your adventure.
With professional guidance from CCT Sri Lanka, this experience ensures safe navigation, local insight, and a seamless trekking journey through some of Ella’s most famous natural and mythological sites.
