
Looking for a short but rewarding high-altitude hike? Trekking to Thotupola Kanda is a scenic mountain adventure inside Horton Plains National Park, taking you to one of Sri Lanka’s highest peaks at 2,361 meters.
The trail is relatively gentle and covers a 3 km round trip, making it suitable for most fitness levels. Along the way, you’ll walk through misty cloud forests and open grasslands with cool mountain air and peaceful surroundings.
At the summit, you’ll enjoy sweeping views across the central highlands, often surrounded by drifting mist that adds a magical atmosphere to the experience.
